01Overview
VIRTUS medals are primarily digital products delivered electronically. There is no physical shipping required to receive your digital medal. The optional Physical Card Add-On (€7.90) is the only component that involves postal delivery.
Digital medal: Instant email confirmation + memorial page, blockchain minting within 24 hours.
Physical Card Add-On (optional): Production 3–5 business days, then postal delivery.
02Digital Delivery
Upon successful payment, the following happens automatically and electronically:
Instant — Order Confirmation
You receive an email confirmation with your order summary, invoice, and the unique memorial page URL.
Within Minutes — Memorial Page Live
Your recipient’s memorial page is generated and becomes publicly accessible at virtus.gift/medal/[unique-slug].
Within 24 Hours — Blockchain Minting
The medal is minted on the Cardano blockchain. You and your recipient receive a minting confirmation email with the transaction reference and Cardanoscan verification link.
Any Time — Recipient Wallet Claim (Optional)
The recipient may optionally claim the medal to a Cardano wallet at their convenience. This step is entirely optional; the memorial page remains accessible without a wallet.
All digital delivery is by email to the address you provide at checkout. Please ensure your email address is correct before completing payment. VIRTUS is not responsible for delivery failures caused by incorrect email addresses or spam filters.
03Blockchain Minting Timeline
Minting on the Cardano blockchain is typically completed within 24 hours of payment. In rare cases — such as high network load or NMKR infrastructure maintenance — minting may take up to 72 hours.
The memorial page is accessible and fully functional before minting is complete. The recipient can view, share, and enjoy the memorial page immediately after purchase.
Blockchain minting timelines are influenced by the Cardano network, which is a decentralised third-party infrastructure outside VIRTUS’s direct control. Delays beyond 72 hours are rare; if minting has not completed after 72 hours, please contact us at info@virtus.gift.
04Recipient Notification
After minting is confirmed, your recipient automatically receives a gift notification email containing:
- A link to their personal memorial page
- The sender’s name and dedication message
- A QR code linking to the memorial page (for easy mobile sharing)
- Instructions for optional wallet claiming
- The Cardanoscan transaction link for blockchain verification
The recipient notification email is sent to the email address you provide at checkout. Please enter the recipient’s correct email address. If the recipient does not receive the notification, ask them to check their spam folder or contact us for a resend.
05Physical Card Add-On Delivery
The Physical Card Add-On is a premium printed NFC-enabled or QR-linked card delivered by post. It is produced and shipped separately from the digital medal.
Production Time
Each physical card is produced on a per-order basis (print-on-demand). Production takes approximately 3–5 business days from the order date.

Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to postal carrier circumstances beyond our control.
Tracking
A tracking number is emailed to you upon dispatch of the physical card. You can use this number to track delivery via the carrier’s website.
Shipping Address
Physical cards are shipped to the address provided at checkout. Please ensure your delivery address is accurate and complete. VIRTUS is not liable for non-delivery due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the buyer.
06International Shipping
We ship the Physical Card Add-On internationally. Please note:
- Customs and import duties: Some countries may impose customs duties or import taxes on physical goods. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility and are not included in our price.
- Restricted destinations: We cannot ship to countries subject to international trade sanctions or where postal services are severely disrupted. If we are unable to ship to your destination, we will notify you and issue a refund for the add-on.
- Customs delays: International shipments may be held at customs. VIRTUS is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance processes.
The digital medal component is delivered electronically worldwide with no geographic restrictions.
07Delivery Issues
Digital Medal Not Received
If you did not receive your order confirmation or minting notification email:
- Check your spam or junk mail folder
- Verify that you entered the correct email address at checkout
- Contact us at info@virtus.gift with your order number; we will resend the confirmation
Minting Not Completed After 72 Hours
If blockchain minting has not been confirmed within 72 hours of payment, contact us at info@virtus.gift. We will investigate and, if minting has permanently failed, issue a full refund.
Physical Card Not Delivered
If the physical card has not arrived within the estimated delivery window (see Section 5), contact us at info@virtus.gift with your order number and tracking reference. We will investigate with the carrier and offer a replacement or refund of the add-on price at our discretion.
Damaged Physical Card
If the physical card arrives damaged, please photograph the damage and contact us within 14 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement at no cost to you. See our Refund & Returns Policy for details.
