A VIRTUS digital medal is a blockchain-verified digital tribute minted on the Cardano blockchain. It combines a unique virtue artwork with your personal dedication message, the recipient’s name, and the names of all co-signers — creating a permanent, verifiable record of recognition. The medal lives on a dedicated memorial page at virtus.gift and on the Cardano blockchain forever.

The current collection includes nine virtues: Courage, Fortitude, Patience, Kindness, Gratitude, Generosity, Humility, Integrity, and Love. Each virtue has its own unique artwork and is suited to different occasions and relationships. We regularly expand the collection — new virtues are announced in our newsletter.

All three tiers include the core medal artwork, your personal dedication, a permanent memorial page, and blockchain verification. Premium (€14.90) adds unlimited co-signers, an animated version of the medal, a printable PDF certificate, and the AI-assisted dedication writer. The memorial page is a unique, permanent URL at virtus.gift/medal/[unique-slug] that displays the medal artwork, dedication message, recipient’s name, occasion, all co-signer names, and a link to the blockchain verification on Cardanoscan. It is publicly accessible, shareable, and will remain live for as long as VIRTUS operates.

Yes. The recipient’s name, your dedication, the virtue, and all co-signer names are publicly visible on the memorial page and permanently recorded on the Cardano blockchain — a public ledger. This is intentional: a VIRTUS medal is a public tribute. Please do not include sensitive personal data such as addresses or phone numbers in dedication texts.

No. You pay with a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay — no crypto knowledge or wallet required. Your recipient can view and share their memorial page in any browser. Claiming the medal to a Cardano wallet is entirely optional and can be done at any time after receiving the gift.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. No cryptocurrency payments are accepted for standard purchases.

Yes. A full VAT-compliant invoice is automatically emailed to you upon successful payment. You can also download it from your account page at any time.

Absolutely. The digital medal is delivered entirely by email — no borders, no restrictions. The memorial page URL works worldwide. If you add the Physical Card Add-On, we ship internationally. See our Shipping Policy for international delivery times.

Your memorial page goes live within minutes of payment. Blockchain minting on the Cardano network typically completes within 24 hours; in rare cases of high network activity, up to 72 hours. Both you and the recipient receive an email confirmation when minting is complete.

Yes, with Premium and Legendary medals. After your purchase you receive a shareable co-signing link to send to as many people as you like. Each signer adds their name (and an optional short message), and all names are permanently recorded on the blockchain. You set the signing deadline; no additional signatures are accepted after it closes.

After minting is confirmed, the recipient automatically receives a gift notification email with a link to their memorial page, a QR code, and optional instructions for claiming the medal to a Cardano wallet. Please provide the recipient’s correct email address at checkout.

Yes — optionally. The minted medal is a Cardano token that can be claimed to any compatible Cardano wallet (e.g. Eternl, Nami, Lace). Claiming is entirely optional; the memorial page is fully accessible without a wallet. Instructions are included in the recipient notification email.

A short cancellation window exists before minting begins (approximately 60 minutes after payment). Contact us at info@virtus.gift immediately with your order number. Once the medal has been minted on the blockchain, cancellation and modification are not possible due to the permanent nature of blockchain records. See our Refund Policy for full details.

If a technical error on our side prevents minting, you are entitled to a full refund. Contact us at info@virtus.gift with your order number and we will investigate and resolve the issue within one business day.
